When Replacing a Part Isn’t Enough.
Advanced board-level diagnostics and electronics repair in Kitchener–Waterloo for phones, tablets, computers, game consoles, and selected electronic devices. From no-power and charging faults to Wi-Fi, audio, liquid damage, and complex motherboard problems, we diagnose the cause before recommending the repair.
We diagnose the fault instead of replacing random parts.
A device can show the same symptom for several completely different reasons. A charging problem may come from the port, battery, charging circuit, corrosion, a damaged connector, or a board-level failure.
Advanced repair starts with testing. We inspect the symptom, power behaviour, relevant components, connectors, and circuitry before deciding what actually needs to be repaired.
Different symptoms. Different causes.
These are some of the problems we commonly assess. Final repairability depends on the exact device, condition, prior repair history, and diagnostic results.
No Power / Dead Device
A device that will not turn on may have a battery problem, damaged charging circuitry, a shorted component, corrosion, power-management failure, or another motherboard fault.
Diagnosis before recommendationCharging Problems
Not every charging problem is a charging-port problem. We assess ports, batteries, connectors, charging circuitry, wireless charging faults, and board-level causes when appropriate.
Port • Battery • CircuitWi-Fi & Bluetooth Faults
Weak signal, repeated disconnections, unavailable Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth failures can involve antennas, connectors, damaged components, corrosion, or motherboard circuitry.
Signal • Antenna • BoardAudio & Microphone Problems
Speaker, microphone, call-audio, and post-liquid-damage audio problems can originate from modular parts, flex assemblies, connectors, corrosion, or board-level circuitry.
Speaker • Mic • CircuitCamera & Sensor Problems
Black camera view, camera instability, flash faults, sensor issues, or hardware that is not detected may require component testing before the correct repair path can be confirmed.
Camera • Flash • SensorsBoot Loops & Restart Faults
Repeated restarting, failure to boot, freezing, or unusual power behaviour can be caused by software, modular hardware, damaged storage-related circuitry, power faults, or board-level damage.
Boot • Power • BoardMicrosoldering & Motherboard Repair
When a modular part replacement does not solve the fault, diagnosis may need to continue at board level. We inspect circuitry, damaged components, connectors, pads, power paths, and areas affected by heat, impact, corrosion, or previous repair attempts.
The objective is not to replace the motherboard automatically. It is to identify whether a repairable board-level fault is actually causing the problem.
Liquid Damage Is Not a Single-Component Failure.
Liquid exposure can affect connectors, flex assemblies, charging circuits, power paths, audio systems, display circuits, cameras, and multiple areas of the motherboard at the same time.
We inspect visible corrosion and the symptoms caused by the damage before determining whether cleaning, component-level repair, board work, or data-focused recovery should be considered.
When the Device Matters Less Than the Data.
In selected cases, the main goal is not to return the device to everyday use. It is to recover access to important photos, files, messages, or other data from a device that no longer boots or operates normally.
Data-recovery feasibility depends on the condition of the motherboard, storage, processor, security architecture, prior repair history, and the specific failure. Recovery is assessed case by case.
A diagnosis-led repair process.
No complex repair should begin with assumptions. The workflow is designed to document the problem, identify the likely cause, confirm approval, complete the repair, and test the finished result.
Intake Test
We document the reported fault and check the device condition.
Diagnosis
Relevant components, power behaviour, circuitry, and symptoms are assessed.
Approval
The recommended repair path is confirmed before unapproved work begins.
Repair
The approved modular or board-level repair is completed where feasible.
Final Test
The relevant functions are checked again before the device leaves the bench.
Not Every Repair Requires Board Work.
If diagnostics show that the fault is caused by a replaceable battery, charging port, display, camera, speaker, microphone, flex assembly, or another modular component, we recommend the appropriate repair instead of unnecessary motherboard work.

Dealer Advanced Repair
Repair shops can submit selected board-level, data-recovery, liquid-damage, glass, and other specialist repair work. Dealer pricing is shared after business verification.
Complex faults are assessed individually.
Symptoms, photos, and prior history help with the initial review, but hidden board damage may only become clear during physical testing.
If diagnosis changes the recommended repair path, the customer is contacted before work outside the approved scope proceeds.
Corrosion, heat damage, missing pads, damaged connectors, previous soldering, or structural damage can change repair feasibility and the final result.
Electronics repair does not guarantee preservation of stored data. Data-recovery cases are evaluated separately according to device condition.
Current coverage and exclusions are explained on the FAQ & Warranty page.
Complex Fault? Start With the Cause.
Send the device model, symptoms, repair history, and clear photos where relevant. We will review the request and determine the next diagnostic step.
